ComedySportz Indianapolis is proud to announce that they will be hosting the World Comedy League Championship in July 2011. During the week of July 18-23, over 200 improvisers from all over the world will descend upon Massachusetts Avenue, Indy’s Arts and Theatre District. All are hoping for the chance to compete for the Meaningless Trophy in the Championship Match on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Historic Athenaeum. There will be ComedySportz Matches every night starting on Wednesday, July 20. All matches will be held at the Athenaeum on Mass Ave. The teams will be from ComedySportz Theatres throughout the U.S.A., as well as Manchester, England and the newest ComedySportz team coming from Berlin, Germany. This is truly an international event happening here in the heart of Indy’s Arts and Theatre District. The improvisers will participate in workshops every day and watch in awe as teams from the other cities exhibit their funny bones.
